The Civil Rights Practice Group of ADM is actively engaged in the most complex issues that arise in civil rights litigation. ADM represents a variety of entities including private prison contractors, security firms, school districts and various employers in disputes stemming from allegations of discrimination, abuses of constitutional rights, Biven's claims, claims brought under the Civil Rights Act (42 U.S.C. § 1983), claims brought under the Torture Victim Protection Act of 1991 (TVPA), the Alien Tort Claims Act of 1789 (ATCA), freedom of speech violations and violations of equal protection and due process.
Allegations of civil rights abuse are often highly sensitive and must be handled appropriately to minimize the impact on the client's operations.
