Our Construction Defect Group has extensive experience in defending general contractors, construction managers, subcontractors, and design professionals in all aspects of litigation including coverage disputes. We work closely with both the Coverage and Appellate Groups to coordinate the defense of our clients and to prepare for all issues that arise throughout the lengthy litigation process associated with these types of claims.
Our philosophy involves quickly identifying the issues and any potential defenses and/or avenues of exposure to our clients and then focusing on the pursuit of an early resolution of these claims in the most cost effective manner through alternative dispute resolution opportunities such as mediation.
Despite our philosophy of pursuing an early cost effective resolution of these cases, our practice group is always prepared to and has successfully litigated these claims through defense verdicts and/or favorable dispositive motions. In part, our success has come through our early retention of professional consultants who assist in identifying the construction and/or design issues thus allowing us to formulate our defense strategy at an early stage in the litigation.
This group also works closely with our Professional Liability Group to defend cases and claims against design professionals (architects and engineers), surveyors, home inspectors, title companies, and real estate professionals. ADM has had success representing architects and engineers, surveyors, home inspectors, real estate agents, interior designers, landscape architects, construction consultants, fire protection consultants, mechanical consultants and others.
